I want to take a poll as to how many of you have ever been accused of "laying down"; even after shooting possibly the high set in the league for the night. We had a 3500 posted against us. I shot 744 with no opens and another teammate shot 680, and we were accused of laying down. Has anybody else been accused of this as well, even after posting a high number?

for heaven sakes... 744 and laying down... and should have shot 800... that is crazy. If this guy layed down shooting 744 (instead of getting an 800 series) I think he is crazy and should be put in a mental hospital. 800's dont come along enough anyway, no matter how good you are. One guy here has 54 800's and when he blows one he gets all upset. So forget it.

Unless you're on a 100% handicap between your averages type of league, how can shooting 744 off of a 230 average be Laying down? Even if you were, how would it make any difference in this situation? Therefore, why is this even an issue? Do you have personal problems with these people?

Jabroni was kidding guys. Where the issue was, was another team had a shot a wildcard if we won the third. We did not win the third as Jabroni's team shot 3500 against us. We locked up the wildcard even after losing our tails, so other teams were crying saying that since we already had wildcard locked up, that we layed down for the other team so they could get into the rolloffs instead of them. So, explain to me how I can shoot 744 and lay down so the other team can win. I miss the pocket once in 3 games leaving a 3-6-10.
Pin-chaser: I have 15 800s, so me choking makes no difference to me as long as we win. But NEVER, have I had a shot at 8 and blew it on purpose for any reason.
MCM2: I think you may have this mixed up. Jabroni's team did not lose and they were not the ones complaining. It was 2 other teams who had a shot at wildcard providing we beat Jabroni's team.
So....the questions remains to be answered. How many people out there overall had a good night but still got accused of laying down or sandbagging so another team could win?

Hey TwoHand, I agree with Jabroni, I know you better...lol.(just kidding)
There's always going to be somebody complaining about that, even if there were 2 possible teams to make the wildcard, the team that didn't make it would complain that you laid down so the other team COULD make it. This is a simple reason as to why you never put YOUR fate in someone else's hands...
