If you have a drilled Switch Grip outer already installed and want to get rid of it, a 1 3/8 slug will fit right in it. A good tip is to take the palm bevel sander lightly to the inside of the siwtch grip hole to give the slug a textured surface to "hold" on to.

Bigmike,

Is that with the outer left in the ball?

Yes, an 1 3/8" slug will fit nicely into an outer Switch Grip sleeve. I roughed the sleeve up with the sander as Bigmike said and glued it in. Works fine.

So I use a 1 3/8" slug an was thinking of trying the switch grip.Do they only have 11/4" slugs or do they have 1 3/8".My thumb is to big for a 11/4" slug

?? The slug is 1 3/8". Not 1 1/4".

The inner sleeve only holds an 1 1/4 slug. If your thumb is too large for the 1 1/4 slug, then Switch Grip is not for you.

I am a thumb grabber and am scared to death right now to throw the ball with any authority since I have broken two tabs so far since June. With that being said, I am going to make a mold of my best fitting thumb and head to the shop in a while to put in 1 3/8 solids in the outer sleeve and then drill the 1 1/4 hole for the mold to fit into.

Turbo makes a good product, just not a good fit for quirky me.
