I am not on this league but I have substituted a lot. I paid my league dues. My question is, does this consider me as a "league member"? I bowled an honor score last night and the owner told the league secretary I do not get a form to fill over in recognition for the score due to the fact I am not a "league member"

If you're sanctioned and it's a sanctioned league it absolutely counts, no matter if you're a sub or a regular bowler.

Can u give me the rule number. That would help alot

Starting with Rule 50 (page 20 of the rulebook), states all the award recognition information.

Why would the owner say such an ignorant thing? If you are a sanctioned bowler and this is a sanctioned league, your honor score counts as far as the USBC is concerned. Think about it. If what he said was true, nobody would get a ring for shooting an honor score in a sanctioned tournament. No "regular members" in a tourney, yet they get rings.
The only thing I can think of is that this is a house league and the ignormus owner was thinking that you don't have enough games to qualify to win the league's high game award and money at the end of the season.

The owner is expressing his jealousy. He is around 60 and hasn't shot but 3 300's and I am only 20 and have 3 on the season and 2 800's on the season. He says Im nothing but a stubborn little prick. So I guess he is trying to prevent me from being acknowledged of my bowling.
Get a copy of the League sheet / Recap. If they continue to say it doesn't "count", you may wanna investigate to see if it is really a sanctioned league like they say it is. If all else fails, i'm sure the USBC would love to hear about centers that are not following a simple rule to follow.

especially if you are paying to sub. where i bowl now, that is the "Way things are". "Someone has to pay for the spot" is the answer given when asked why, but where i grew up subs bowled for free. the person committed to the league payed, the sub never got any point money either, cause they didn't invest.

Well call your local USBC and explain the situation to them. An owner or league secretary has no business letting personality effect the orderly operation of a USBC sanctioned league. Your league secretary should be giving you a sheet and submitting it. If not he should be discharged from duties and possibly dealt with by USBC.
