League Lineage
« on: May 14, 2009, 11:04:54 AM »
Hey gang,

What kind of lineage are you paying for your leagues? Down here in Savannah there is a rumor that AMF is going to $15.00 on prime time leagues next season. We pay $11.00 now and I would like to get some comparisons.

    Thanks,

   Lee

14.85 at the well maintained center with excellent customer service in fremont, ca.  10.50 at the poorly maintained and sub standard customer service AMF center on the north side of fremont.

The scratch doubles league I'm in this summer pays $9 for four games.  We pay $20/week total, $0.40 for me and $10.60 to the prize fund.  The winter league I'm in with 5-man teams pays, I think, $9.25 for three games.

me and my brother joined a spring league.  $20 a week on sunday nights for 3 games.  We found out that only $3 was going to prize fund and at that price it wasn't even cosmic.  We quit the league.

We are looking at 14-14.50 linage this summer making our weekly dues in the $26-$28 range..  The lanes were recently refurbished from top to bottom (lanes, scorers, furniture).  Word is flat screen TV's to be installed shortly in bowling area for bowlers to watch their favorite ball game during league.  This should prevent all the running to the lounge to get scores, etc.

In the Des Moines and Ames Iowa area $9.75-11 is common.

In Ames there's a new center opening so the old center actually dropped their lineage from $9.75 to $7.50 for our scratch league. That will put an additional $3-4K in our prize fund for next year. Gotta love competition

Doubles league that I was joining before my injury this summer has lineage of 6.80/bowler (4 games/week).  After seeing some of the fees here, I can't believe these guys actually were complaining that it was "too high".  A vote went out to raise the weekly fee from 12 to 14 to add 2 more to the prize pool and 2/3 of the league voted against it because they don't want to "pay that much!!!" to bowl.  Seriously?
