Interesting...

We just finished our first quarter and I noticed I had high series for the night twice during the nine weeks.  The funny thing is, it was the only two nights of the first quarter in which a 600 was not shot in our league...my high series were 587 and 592.  The high series were two over 700 (731 & 705), five between 620 & 690, and my two high series of less than 600.

You may be the best spare shooter in your league.

I suck at spare shooting...at least in my opinion.

Actually, the lanes on those two nights were fairly difficult, not the normal "house shot".  Our house has a big tournament on the first Saturday of each month and they put out a "reverse block" for the event.  They don't re-oil the lanes until Monday afternoon before our league.  The outsides are always a little slicker on the Monday after the tournament.  Both of those scores were shot on Monday following the Saturday tournament (9/8 and 10/6).  I was just better at playing that condition on those two nights...

VT you sound like me alittle, when the lanes get harder I bowl better.  I suck on a typical house shot, but come to life on the harder pattern.  Regular leauges avg high 170'ish started a challenge leauge back in the summer and avg then and now 195 plus.
