Bowling on a standard THS. Medium oil, lots of dry outside, but enough oil down the middle that you can move in and find enough to get the ball down the lane.
This season I have been around 16.5 mph at the pins and close to 425 rpms.
Over the past two weeks, I have lost any and all carry. Last week shot 640, left 10 ten pins and a hand full of others. This week, shoot 630 with one open. Had a decent look playing up the boards during game 1. As the lanes dried a bit and forced me in, I lost everything. Clean the last two games, struck every time on the left lane, but didn't throw a double. 8 ten pins and 3 seven pins. Threw two different balls on lines between 14 at the arrows to as deep as 23 at the arrows. Knew I should have tried to cross over!
The lane was sending me a clear message, I just couldn't translate it into the appropriate line/roll.
Ever get stuck in the "cant carry to save your a@@" funk?
On a side note, I've gotten in a lot of good work on the spare game.
