After a pretty successful season last year, I want to move up into a higher end house league, to learn from the upper end bowlers and for a strong challenge.
I have been invited to bowl on a new league forming on Monday nights starting in the fall. The league is a 2 on 2 format, where you bowl 3 different teams on 3 different pairs a night. Its supposed to be more competitive, since different landes and also less help from teammates. Lots of extra jackpots and such, plus the house is fairly close to my apartment. Does anyone have any experience with these style leagues, and if they are any good or not?
If I don't go here, I will just find another 4man team to catch on with.
Thanks people!

Oooh, that sounds like a great format. Three different pairs of lanes, with only one game to figure out each pair. Kind of like bowling a tournament every week. Where do I sign up?

The league I'm in now is one-on-one, two two-game sets a night on two different pairs against two different opponents. Much more interesting than bowling the entire evening on a single pair.

The harder the play, the louder the boof.

My weds night league is a 3 man 4 game league. We play one team 2 games and move to another pair and another team for two more games. I love it. The second set of lanes are always different from the first. No practice on the second set. You learn a lot about adjusting quickly to lane conditions.
I would go for it if I was you. I hope to find another league like this in the winter.

I have subbed a few times in a league like that this summer. Mine is coed doubles, three matches a night against three opponents on three pairs of lanes, 6 games a night.
It's a good league and good format, so I recommend that you do it.
Be prepared to bowl fast though, with not a lot of time (if any) to sit back and relax between frames. The six games is not a burden at all.

You weren't unlucky when you left that corner pin, so shut up about it already!!
