I'm bowling in two leagues same as last year. Both are USBC sanctioned. I would quit if they were not.

League one is in a house that was recently bought by Bowlero (along with 2 other houses in town going to Bowlero). We are still bowling but the number of teams (5 person) is down at least 3 teams. The house use to add $5000 to the league prize fund and that has been cut in half to $2500 and the season has been extended from 32 to 34 weeks.

League two is in a none Bowlero house. We had 12 teams last year and are currently slated to have 16. There is another league in the house at the same time that has expanded as well from 8 teams to 16. Most of the growth is from Bowlero houses.

I bowl two leagues; one is in a non-Bowlero house, while the other is in a travel league. We should have the same amount of teams in the non-Bowlero league, but that may change depending on how many decide to bolt from the 3 Bowlero houses we have.

Additionally, my kids are staying in their non-bowlero youth league, as there is essentially only one house in the area with youth leagues (at least that I am aware of; there is one being held after school on Tuesdays, but that's mainly going to be for the highschoolers which are definitely being scouted by colleges.. my kids are 12 and 10, so no where in that league yet).

As for the travel league, it does go to a couple of Bowlero houses, so it remains to be seen as to what will happen there. We are slated to get about 4-6 additional teams from the Bay Area to join that league, so we may extend the range for where we travel.. Most of the alleys are in the Sacramento or foothills of the Sierras area, but if those from the bay join us, we may end up going further west. It all depends.

But right now, I think that the next couple of weeks will tell a lot regarding Bowlero's League Certification Program.

Doing one sport shot league at one of the local chain centers. We got a couple AMFs but I didn't see sport shot on their list. Seems like a missed opportunity -- PBA Leagues, PBA patterns.

Oh well. Still think PBA should have added C-tier local tournaments instead of leagues.

Joining a second league for the first time in about 5 years...

I'm doing 2 leagues this fall in a non-Bolero house, a 4-man and a trios, both sanctioned and both competitive.  Another nearby non-Bolero house just shut down, so I'd expect the leagues here to pick up some bowlers or teams that want to keep bowling.
