I moved up to tampa about a year ago but have not found a league yet. I was curious if anybody had any suggestions on which center to bowl at. I live near the bucs stadium. I would like to find a house that does not put out the great wall of china. Maybe a PBAx league or another where they change the shot every few weeks. any ideas?

I lived there many years ago. Crown Lanes was the worst for the great wall. I bowled in a couple of other houses that were pretty fair. Tampa Lanes is where I shot my first 800, and the centers first 800 back in the early 80's. Good luck. There are alot of nice people that bowl in Tampa, but also ALOT of jerks!

i have called a few centers, i was just curious if anybody would recommend one center over another.

It''''s been a long time since I was at university bowl, last time I was there the lanes awful.I heard one time they put some money in and fix it up some. But didn''''t put in any new lanes.so unless they got some new lanes, It was a AMF house so bewarned check it first.

Florida lanes was ok the last time I was there, but I never bowled any leagues at it.

There also Tampa Lanes on 8105 North Dale Mabry Highway that would be north of the stadium. But I never bowled it.
