Spare Ball Recommendation
« on: November 06, 2008, 12:06:14 PM »
I currently throw a Roto Grip cell and am looking at getting a spare ball to match up. Any recommendations or suggestions are appreciated.

yep, basic plastic is the way to go for your spares, just throw straight at them and use the cell to hook into buckets and double wood.

Plastic is Plastic. Drill it week and shoot it straight.

I just make sure I get mine a very high polish ever so often as the only times I can bowl are when the lanes are burnt toast.  If I don't keep it slick as glass it can move 3-5 boards no matter if its rolling over the thumb hole off my hand!

Thanks for the suggestions. The thing is that i'm a little short on change right now and looking to get one as cheap as possible basically. Does that narrow it down at all??

Global 900 Bam is priced nicely. If you don't care about getting used, post a wanted to buy topic here and see what people offer.

You can also shoot a 99 cent rubber ball on ebay - some NIB pieces pop up from time to time. Dirty cheap, but your pro shop will hate you after drilling it up...

i use a very aggressive ball for my spares ( all of them )( morich total shock and awe ), BUT..............its one pound lighter than the rest of my equiptment, and i have complete control of it and confidence in every spare i go after.

i just flatten out my wrist and come right up the back for my 10 pins, and it works for me

if i have 4 opens in a night its a bad night for me ( 3 game set )
