Leather chamois question

I recently started using on of these.... Do you think it shines the ball thru general use?

No; I have used a leather pad for the last year + and have not seen a surface change.

I haven't used mine that long, but I haven't seen anything like that so far.

While it could because f the nature of the leather, I think you'd have to press fairly hard while using it on a spinner to get it to act like that. By hand I think you have no worries that this will happen.
