Hey everyone, I've got an interesting problem that's really been getting to me lately. I used to bowl with very little hand turning movement, keeping my hand roughly a 45 degrees from the back of the ball throughout my entire swing. However, in experimenting with different releases, I tried keeping my hand more behind the ball, instead of at the 45 angle. Now, I can't even keep my hand behind the ball, I always over rotate and end up with my hand on the left side of the ball (I'm right handed). This causes me to get a lot of hand rotation on my release, and I found myself tracking over my thumb hole several times last time I bowled. Efforts to keep my hand behind the ball lead to lessening how far my hand is to the left, but I just can't keep it straight behind the ball.
Now I know having my hand on the left isn't a bad thing, and I feel comfortable during my swing, but with my current release I'm not happy with where I'm tracking.
So is there anything I can try to either A) Keep my hand straight behind the ball or B) Fix something in my release to lower my track a bit.
Thanks in advance.
