Anybody going back to there old stuff?
« on: July 27, 2008, 12:04:13 PM »
Ive got a few of the latest...

Lane#1 Supernova XP
Hammer Black Widow Pearl
Ebonite Complete NV
RotoGrip Cell

Ive been practicing with all of my old stuff, bowling summer league with old stuff, what a pleasant surprise. I have a Ebonite Pantera that hits as hard as any ball that I own. Ive had it for years...I thought it died on me, I soaked it and baked it. Put it back at 800 grit and wow!. Same as my old Depthcharge, and Trauma.

Im considering bowling with my old stuff this up and coming fall season (exclusively).

Has anyone ever tried this? if so,  what was the outcome?

Earl

PBA league has brought Triple Xtreme,Triton,Reaction Rip and Vendetta Pearl out of retirement. Those squeeky clean back ends are too much for my new stuff. If I bowl THS this year any one of those will do the job.
If I bowl non-conforming sport again this year I'll need the newer technology.

Ha!!

Never left! I've had to go back to some of my older equipment due to the conditions I've seen. Pulled out my old Green Messenger, my Ti-Hawk and a Reaction Rip for use on a broken down Sport condition.

And they still work very well, ...thank you!

I still use my 3D offset Superflip - it's the light blue one.  From what I have heard a lot of people didn't like the ball.  I didn't at first either, til I plugged it and moved the cg out.  It gives me a reliable look and I have 2 sanctioned 300's with it, and shot 776 with it a month ago in the team event of a tournament.

I am actually contemplating just bringing that and my tropical storm with me to league this winter.  So many times I will start changing balls and lines and not adjust with what I am using.  I'm hoping this will cut down on the 2nd game dropoff that I seem to have.  But that's just me...

Let in the DOGS - I've got a HAMBONE for them!
