Everything looked to be in order, but, you have almost no bend in the knee while sliding, its not a terrible thing, but later in life, you will have knee and hip problems if you continue this... also, by getting lower, you have the byproduct of more accuracy.

I feel that the swing slightly goes away from the body.  I'd also suggest bending the knee and keeping low at the foul line.  This might help with the slight 'drop' of the ball rather than a smooth 'roll' at the flat point of your swing.

Very true. It is NOT good.

I know it varies with different bowlers but hve you tried planting your rear foot? It's good for creating leverage (and therefore power), whilst often olving inconsistency issues (if you have any).

The Raiders will win it this year. I can feel it.

The shorts are torn up at the knees and all, but the hair isn't going anytime soon.

Anyway, Guys, thanks for the input. There are issues with the direction/shape of the swing and footwork, but I do believe that both do have some kind of correlation with my (over) weight (ness). I understand that. I guess there is a lot of homework to do.

I will update you guys in about a month with a new video with hopefully 5-10 pounds less weight, better footwork, and improved swing direction.

Holiday Bowl in Hayward. I live literally less than a mile down the street from it. I don't live in the 925 area anymore... yeah.

I wish there was a bowling centre even 5 miles close to where I live.  If there was a centre less than 1 mile away (and if there were $1.00/game or some sort of special) I'd probably go bowling every day! lol

Can't wait to see a new video with all/most of the suggestions said here incorporated into your game!

Great VIDEO! Bowling looked good to me .. your walk was a little unorthodox but it seems to achieve the goal .. many bowlers have gone a LONG WAY without having PERFECT FORM! Would it be better to look perfect and get LOUSY RESULTS?

Geez...place looks a lot different than I remember it.  I guess I should walk in there more than once every 10 years.

Jeremy,  I was not able to see your approach video but I do have a question for you.  I used to do some bowling at Holiday bowl back in the early & mid 80's.  I used to hang out with JohnnyO, he ran the pro shop in the bowl there.  My question is, does he still do that or if not then by any chance, if you know of him, would you know how to reach him?  I moved to the eastern side of this great nation and have lost track of things out there.  Thanks.

I know how that goes!!

Your game looks pretty good. The only thing I didn't like was your lack of follow-through. Better balance should help you there. Some knee bend would probably be helpful in achieving balance, and would allow you to create even more leverage (although you look like you get good lift and movement on the ball as it is).

You weren't unlucky when you left that corner pin, so shut up about it already!!
