Well, having been there before, you can expect a Medium-Heavy condition with dry backends allowing for a relatively high-scoring shot. However, with that condition, carrydown remains to be a concern.

Any chance of you coming to the Hoinke Aug 7/8.  We'll have a ball reviews team there on those dates, more than welcome to join in.

Just came back from good old Cinci. It's hard to say what to expect.  It's been different just about everytime I go down there, and I've gone twice a year for the past 4 years.  This weekend, singles had a decent amount of oil in the middle with no OB, but the team and doubles were absolutely fried.  The deeper you got inside of 4th arrow the more it hooked.  We shot a 12:00 team squad on Sunday (which I thought would have been a fresh shot, because there was no squad before us), and the ball was hooking at the midlane.  I was using a pin over bridge Blue Sparkle Gryphon and still couldn't get the ball to stop hooking.  Unfortunately, I didn't have anything less than that.  I would definitely bring something that goes long in case you see what we saw this past weekend.  On another note, I've been out there during times when they were absolutely walled, and others where I couldn't get a Lane1 Cherry Bomb to wrinkle.  I know this doesn't help a whole bunch, but it's the reality of the tournament.  Good luck

Mr. Dabalos,

Thanks for the compliment.... how about you introduce yourself to the ballreviews.com readers as well? Maybe adding a profile would help us better your game and your chances at the hoinke. Good luck and good bowling!

I've been wanting to go to the hoinke and i know there is singles, doubles, and team event.  Is it possible to do the singles and doubles on the same day at different squad times?

It is possible to shoot all three events on one day, multiple times.  Squads run all day on the weekends, but Sunday they stop a little earlier.  I beleive the last doubles squad on sunday is at 4:00, where on Friday and Saturday there is a 9:00 doubles.
