How do you know how fast you throw?

People post saying they throw 18-19mph or 22-23 etc etc.  How do you know?  If you're just guessing OK but I throw fast and it could be anywhere from 15mph-25 I don't know.

most newer lanes have a mph gauge on the lane, just like a cops speed gun. It reads right on the screen, if your local house doesn't have one you may have to travel a bit and find one.
