Light to Medium Oil Ball
« on: August 20, 2003, 03:26:08 AM »
Any suggestions out there for a light to medium oil ball?  I currently throw a track freak out, but it's just too much ball.  No matter how far down the lane it carries the backends at a house i throw at are bone dry.  The snap at the end of the lane consistently leaves the 2-6-10, or just 6-10, or of course that damn 10 pin.  Either way i'm hitting high in the pocket.  Given the way i throw (fairly strong backend hook), I would rather get a ball that can handle a less oil a little better.  Of course, more accuracy is always possible...

So much to choose from. If you like Storm, try the Power Charge or HotRod. RotoGrip: SilverStreak solid or pearl. Ebonite:Savage pearl or the new flip. Brunswick: Monster Bruiser. Plenty of stuff to choose from. New or used. Keep looking to find the ball your looking for. Good Luck

Is there a website I can go to to find out what drilling different patterns will do to the hook?  Whenever I've bought a ball from a proshop the owner just had a set pattern in mind, and I went along with it.
