Lighter ball in drier conditions
« on: May 09, 2008, 09:15:53 PM »
I throw 16lbs but when the lanes dry up i struggle throwing the ball to its intended break point. I was thinking maybe that a lighter dry ball (15lbs.) might help. Do any of you do this for your dry equipment? Thanks for your comments.

there are more adjustments than speed, if thats what you are wanting to accomplish with the lighter ball.

Have you tried backing off on your rev rate, or trying different hand positions such as coming up the back of the ball so it will not jump off the dry?

Yes, I normally throw 15 but when the lanes are dry i pull out an old 12lb. absolute inferno and throw that sucker like 20-21mph, it's fun!
