Linds Exxxtras
« on: April 30, 2003, 06:56:34 PM »
I just picked up a pair of these and tried them for the first last night. This was my first time ever using interchangeable sole/heel shoes. I tried the rubber waffle insert in the heel and after about 1-2 games one of the inserts rolled off. It seems these inserts are two pieces that are molded/glued together and it split apart. The other two were OK. I notice they protrude out of the heel a good 1/8 of an inch or more and wondered if maybe a little shaving is in order. Does anyone have any similar experiences? I like the shoes, they have the classic look that I like in the Linds and I couldnt beat the price. I was going to try the ABS sport ultras until I came across this deal.
Thanks, Rick

I dont remember which hole did it now. They were wood approaches. It must be just too much friction and then it separates. I think when I get some more I will give them a little "pre-taper" instead of the sharp square cut the way they come.

For what it's worth, others seem to have similar problems with the heel inserts. There are a few reviews of the shoes worth reading:
