I was wondering what side of the grips do you use the lips or the ovals? Thanks

I always drill for ovals unless the customer tells me they want lifts up.

Always ovals.  Anybody who has decent hand shouldn't even think about lifts.
There are enough other variables to worry about...

Semi grips

I like to dig my fingers into the ball a little too far! haha.  Seriously though, when I can get my fingers deeper into the ball my grip pressure is significantly lower with thumb.

Definitely agree with this one.  I will say having it this way with the wrong pitches feels awful, so the driller knowing your game helps a lot. Without inserts though, you get so much more feedback and feel. Might cause a callus or two, but it's well worth it in my mind.
