I got to bowl on the Earl Anthony pattern today...
« on: January 18, 2009, 12:26:15 PM »
I was in Medford this week watching the guys bowl. Today, after the show, I was talking with the lane man - he said that the TV practice pairs were available - they each had about 2-3 games on them.
I hauled in my stuff and threw 2 games. WOW!
These guys are soooooooo good!!!

I finally got lined up - that took the first game. I was pretty deep (for me) - releasing at about 33, at 17 at the arrows. The ball (Clash) would set up very nice. I actually threw 3 flush in the pocket, then missed ONE board right. Missed the headpin right. Then I missed ONE board left. Went brooklyn. Then when I hit the shot again exactly right, the shot moved, and I left a washout. That's what I saw people doing over and over all week - at least until the shot opened up.

I hope they add this shot to the standard rotation - it's awesome!

Like you, I enjoy the challenge. I really don't expect great scores but love to move around and watch ball reaction (or lack thereof). It does give you an appreciation of how good these guys really are.
