Local Man shoots A Sanctioned 900
« on: January 08, 2011, 02:40:11 PM »
Bob Kammer Jr. of Merrillville, Indiana shoots a perfect 900. This is now the 19th sanctioned 900 (I believe). Was thrown earlier tonight at Stardust Bowl II in Merrillville, IN.

He is one of the well known bowlers in the area. What would you do after shooting this? Personally... I told myself that if I would ever throw the golden 900 I would retire from the game.

No matter how dark the area around you gets... Never take your eyes off the match you lit.

I started my bowling career at Stardust II in 73 and would never believe a 900 could come out of that house, but congrats to Bob Jr. I would have thought maybe Millsap or Ello would have done it, but nice going to Bob.

No doubt a GREAT FEAT!!   but I think all honor scores are now "sanctioned".  They haven't checked balls or lane conditions for quite some time now as far I know.

Also I found out the 900 was shot with the Raw Hammer Jacked.

I know I am  a hack, but I really do wonder how you throw 900. I have a hard time getting 8 in a row to fall before the shot changes or I do something really dumb or just an awful break. I am not doubting actually in awe of the achievement. I am in awe even of thirty clean so you know I am a hack, only done it once, but 36 straight strikes,I would have shook out of my clothes from nerves by the 15th strike. The level of concentration, the ability to read and adjust before the next shot because of the last even though it was a strike, and need I say the luck, cause you know they werent 36 pocket shots. first the 380 million dollar lottery and then 900 just about the same thing to me,very good bowling. Oh and by the by I have bowled there and that is an accomplishment.
