Title: Lofting how to stop....?
Post by: Buzzhead on April 18, 2004, 02:57:05 AM
I know read rons tips. but are there any other ways???
I think my ball is getting to release point later than I am.
Would that cause it? I am positive I loft 7-10 feet, and would
be happy to get to the dots. I have tried targeting the dots,
and it messed me all up. I lost all power I had, lost my hook
and (it seems to me) leverage. But when I can get the ball down
I carry better.

odds are you are grip and rip? right.

if so. relax the hand and arm. bend the knee at the release point.

I don't think of myself as a grip and rip.
I am the guy who pounds the pocket while the
old farts and the grip and rippers are spraying the
house and shootin the lights out. I am accurate but
not board splitting (I can keep it within board either
way on 9 of 10 shots)

Lift OUT, not UP.  If you manage to practice Ron's MOP technique (I'll try to search for the link in a bit), you'll be cured.

Tip #28 is the one Ron is referring to.
