I have only used them once on a demo day for Storm. I used to use switch grips at the time. Totaly agree with ImBackInTheGame about how many to get. You definatly need 2 that you would say is you're most common size as it can be a real pain swopping them in balls on pairs with different patterns. Also my advice is not to have one in your spare ball as swopping them is a pain and time consuming. Also if you're anything like me you may flat hand your spare ball (like WRW Jnr)and roll over the thumb which "could" damage the slug.
Onto the Storm day.It was a blistering hot day, yes we have one of those about every three years or so in England and the slugs were stored in the air con'd pro-shop prior to use but the balls came with the reps.
We had massive problems with them sticking in the balls and the screw bases breaking in the the bottom of the balls.
However it was with the original stock released by Vise and my driller said they are now much better and he hasn't had one break since. Thats 4 years of using them.
My advice is always try to store balls and slugs together especially where you live.
