Last night I witnessed a guy shoot a 300 in his league. The team he was bowling against was upset by the amount of re-racks he had taken which depending who you spoke to was anywhere from 5 to 8 re-racks. I am curious, is there any rule that limits the amount of re-racks that a bowler is allowed during league play?

League or tournament rules can limit them, USBC does not.

I bet there's a league rule about re-racks in that league next year.  5-8 in one game, that's just ridiculous.  I'd be upset if I was the other team as well, especially if there was no good reason for it and he was the only one taking re-racks.

I told one of the complaining guys that making it a league rule for next season was probably his only option. I'm curious at what happens next week. The team that was complaining was talking about taking a re-rack every frame to prove a point. I told them they would only accomplish pissing off the rest of the league. By the way they lost the game by 2 pins

maybe there was a dead pin on a certain lane..... a team i bowled on a few years ago did re-racks. sad thing was there were so many pairs with dead pins in them a few of the "better/good" started re-racking. a few teams made a HUGE deal bout it....   it was allowed tho.  would also like to note this was a AMF center!!!
