Looking for a Good Proshop
« on: June 05, 2005, 01:38:16 PM »
I am looking for a good proshop operator. If anyone knows of any in North Carolina, specifically in Central N.C., could you please tell me. I have a proshop that I go to now, but I'm unhappy with the way my proshop guy drills my stuff up. He has not once said any about a PAP. Anyways any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

dtp -- Why don't you go to the Magic Carpet gathering at Creekside Lanes in Winston Salem in July.  I don't know Ron's pro shop manager, but knowing Ron I feel certain he's good.  Ron may make some suggestions also.  --  JohnP

I have my equipment drilled at Country Club Lanes in Burlington NC, they have a new guy there that is very good, and there prices are better the Greensboro.

about 65 miles down I-40, I think it takes me about a hour and 20 minutes to get from my house to Raleigh, and the center is closer than that. It is around 30 minutes east of Greensboro if that help.

Thanks very much kid51178. Just curious...but are there any decent proshop in Raleigh itself. Like maybe one of the Buffaloe Lanes?

Just to echo one of the earlier posts, come to the Magic carpet gathering.  King of the Mill should be there on Sat.  He's one of the best with layouts.  Let him work with the equipment, spend a little time with RonC on the lanes.  Once you get your measurements, you can then get new equipment drilled from Doug Sterner.

Raleigh isn't that far from Winston-Salem.

If that isn't feasible, contact Joe Falco here on the site.  He's used just about every proshop in Raleigh, has to know the good ones.

Yes Joe does live in Raleigh but I thought he had Mike Cimba drill his balls.  Leon Lamm is the best hands down in NC period.  He is based out of Charlotte,NC and is mostly at AMF Coliseum lanes.  He is also at Park Lanes in Charlotte,NC and University Lanes and Liberty Lanes in Gastonia.  A close second is Mike Whittington who is also in Charlotte and he spends all of his time at Park Lanes.  I can give you phone numbers via private messages if your interested.  Leon is the best ,general knowledge, ball fitting, reaction, he has multiple brand knowledge and stays up with all the latest technology, he is a PBA member,Ebonite/Vise/Dexter Staffer and Silver level USA coach.  Enough advertisement I will now shut up.
