How do you like the IT thumb?

Thinking of trying it out. At your proshop, how much does it cost to get the actual thumb and then how much does it cost to install the sleeve and whatever else goes with it in each ball?

Absolultely love it... If I recall correctly, it's about $15 for the sleeve and then $10 or $15 for each insert. I used to use the Turbo and thought it was a very good product, but this is superior...

I too had the Turbo SG, and I agree that the IT is superior.

 I love IT! lol

As for price, it's going to depend but the hardware that is installed in the ball (Ball-IT, top sleeve) cost about $20.  The Slug-IT was about another $15 I think.  I have 3 slugs that are slightly different in size, but only one really gets used.  I would suggest at least getting two exactly the same, just in case something happens, you then have a backup.  I've never had one break, but a big chip came out of my main slug once but at least it was on the back side of the slug and didn't affect my grip in any way.

I have only used them once on a demo day for Storm. I used to use switch grips at the time. Totaly agree with ImBackInTheGame about how many to get. You definatly need 2 that you would say is you're most common size as it can be a real pain swopping them in balls on pairs with different patterns. Also my advice is not to have one in your spare ball as swopping them is a pain and time consuming. Also if you're anything like me you may flat hand your spare ball (like WRW Jnr)and roll over the thumb which "could" damage the slug.

Onto the Storm day.It was a blistering hot day, yes we have one of those about every three years or so in England and the slugs were stored in the air con'd pro-shop prior to use but the balls came with the reps.

We had massive problems with them sticking in the balls and the screw bases breaking in the the bottom of the balls.

However it was with the original stock released by Vise and my driller said they are now much better and he hasn't had one break since. Thats 4 years of using them.

My advice is always try to store balls and slugs together especially where you live.

I've been using the system almost two years now and it works great.  I have four slugs of varying sizes because my thumb size changes a lot when I bowl.  I normally start with the larger one and go down because my thumb shrinks the more games I bowl.  I can use any of them as spares as well by adding or taking a piece of tape out.

Great system!
