Lope, good or bad?
« on: January 30, 2004, 01:09:17 AM »
When reading the reviews in BTM they refer to "lope" in the RG rating section.  They make statements like "smaller hands will see lope" or "loped through the heads".

What exactly is lope in bowling terms?  Is "lope" good or bad for a stroker style with slower speed and why?

I would appreciate it if someone could explain this to me.

Lope is also resistance to rolling(or skid).

It is great if the heads are dryer and the midlane too.
