I have been giving the matter a lot of thought. A 570 may be a good night on some nights, and a 650 may be mediocre to bad on other nights. Normally because of the conditions. I have decided to start counting the number of pins I left on the lanes, because ofmissed spares and not getting 1/2 of my split counts. For example, last night I was out of the pocket on only one shot and bowled a 680. Not bad, however, I missed 1 ten-pin, and missed both pins on 3 pocket 7-10 shots. Totaled I left 16 pins on the lanes. We lost series by 15 pins. My 680 effort doesn't look so good now. I have been working hard on my spares, but I need to take the percentage on my splits. I missed them because I was trying to throw the ball harder hoping for the miracle kick out of the back.
