Low Ball Track
« on: October 10, 2006, 10:03:32 AM »
Just wanted to ask if there is anything wrong with a low ball track. I can't remember what my PAP is exactly but I think it is under 4". My first track is about 2"left of my thumb hole. I have med revs and get a good reaction on my ball. I just wondering if I could get a better reaction if my track was higher.
Thanks

10.5" of track diameter is quite a large circumference - it is rather typical for a high track player with the initial track close to the holes?
For me, with a PAP of under 4, this sounds odd, because any low tracker I know has a much smaller track diameter, because the ball rotates/spins down the lane - which is effective on drier lanes but can cause defeletion upon pin impact. The ball will also have a later reaction than a high tracker.

With that large track diameter of yours, I guess that you do not spin the ball, but rather have some roll. If you get a good reaction, I do not think that there is anything wrong or to change.
