Low game
« on: December 06, 2008, 01:46:30 PM »
The local high school team was standing around waiting for practice. While doing so they saw this 20 something girl bowl. She commenced to throw a game of a grand total of 3. It was said that she was trying the whole time. She had a 1 going into the 10th frame. She threw a gutter ball and then a 2 count for a 3. After hearing this I was curious as to whats the lowest scores yall have seen. The lowest game I have seen is in the 40's.

I think I remember shooting a 60 something a couple of years back in a sport league. It was my first time throwing a ball in like 2 months, and I was so out of kilter it was insane. Coupled with a sport league and you can see it yields some pretty low scores.

Well if you look on the USBC site they have where they show different records scores etc and I seen a 2 or was it a 3, an 800 series while pregnant, 19 fouls in one game, ambidextrious bowler throw 299.300,800+ in a season, as well as a 230 ave bowler throw a 60, and last but not least a 101yr old woman throw a 202 and a guy throw 64 consecutive games without an open and on the 9th frame of the 65th missed a 10.

About 20 years ago, with junior bowlers in the center (kids bussed in after school) I was working in at the time, I did see a little girl shoot zero for a game. We didn't have bumpers back then and she was probably 1st grade and just too little to bowl. It wasn't the first week she had bowled and she did come back the next week!

My daughter in her first league session at 5 1/2 shot 0 and 12.  There were no bumpers at the time.

The lowest I have ever shot was like 63 or 64.  That was when I was 5 and just learning to bowl.

In all seriousness, how can a person in their 20's shoot a 3? Someone should have walked over and presented her an award for having the worst hand-eye coordination on the planet. Honestly. I know we all bowl and can't really talk smack when people have trouble breaking 100 because bowling isn't easy at first, but a 3? I could literally throw my ball over the counter from the concourse and beat a 3. Sometimes people joke about bowling their weight. This chick couldn't beat three-quarters of the deck in a game of War with her score.

My lowest tournament game was 75 - the first I ever did, deadly nervous... (LOL). Lowest "serious" game I remember was a 72, in training, though.

When I was seven or eight years old, I shot a 7.  My very first game was a 38.

I saw a kid shoot an 8 in junior league on a 130 or 140 avg.  Yes he was trying the whole time, he just tried the same thing over and over again.  He has something lke 3 going into the 10th frame

Now I don't feel so bad about shooting 130 after a 224 last Thursday haha. Five splits for epic fail.
