Need arsenal help
« on: October 19, 2009, 11:42:09 PM »
I need a ball when the lanes break down to really play the deep inside line. This is not my A game by any means but I am getting better. I guess what I need is some suggestions for a skid-flip ball for light to medium conditions that will still finish and take out the corners. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

Just about anything pearl drilled for skid/flip reaction should do.  I just went through this process.  I have a Roto Grip Rogue drilled 4"x4" with a 1-1/2" buffer.  I just drilled up a Cell Pearl 5x3 with a 3" buffer so I can play a deep inside line and swing it out into the track area.  Has worked well so far.

I am not knowledable on drillings so I apologize. I have a cell pearl and that still seems to pick up too early for me. I have it drilled pin above fingers.
I suppose if I go with too weak of ball, I will have problems kicking out the corners.
thanks for the info.

just becuase the ball is weak, doesnt mean you leave corners. You leave corners when you use a skid flip ball on dry lanes becuase your entry angle is to much. Id go with a urathane ball and square up, straighter is greater.

I agree w/eagle, a Storm Fast or Reign depending how deep you're trying to go & how light the oil are.  More medium go Reign, more light, go fast or even Nomad pearl.  JMO.

I don't think there is a better ball for getting deep than the Hot Sauce by Hammer, the ball pushes so easy on dry and has a return that is out of this world.

When I need to get deep inside, I go to my Nomad Pearl, that ball comes back from anywhere, check that out.

agreed.. why play inside if you dont have to.. just find a weaker ball that won't react as much to the dry .. that allows you to play your normal line or straighter..

rotogrip neptune.. or storm fast from what I hear.....
I have the neptune so I can tell you it works..
