lowest series with two 300s in a 3 game block
« on: August 19, 2009, 08:39:23 AM »
i was snooping around today and found out someone at our local alley shot a 737 with two 300s. (300,137,300). Anyone have lower than that or have seen it?

Many years ago at Parkland Bowl in Suitland, MD there was a banner hanging with these scores:  Joe Bowler (not his real name), 2 300 games, 717 set...I found out later that his set was 300, 300, 117.  He evidently got extremely nervous after the second 300 game and couldn't do anything after that.

To shoot 117 take ALOT...if I went front 24 and went lets so open open because I was so nervous I would have gone to the john to calm down a bit or bought a couple of shots, because at that point the pressure is off for the BIG one so you might as well have fun and try to get 8 out of it.
