my first 700 came with my only 300

711 - 177, 234, 300 (01/27/05)

Jokingly with my teamates before the last game of my Thursday night league i said " Hey if i throw 10 in a row i have a chance at 7." I was so nervous in the first ball of the 10th that i yanked it brooklyn. My only bad shot of the last game, luckily it carried and the last to blew the the pocket.

Personally, my first 300 was my worst set. It was a 4 game format. I shot 186-180-300-170

.

A buddy of mine shot 126-300-127=553 last year.

A lady here locally shot 300 one afternoon.
After she was done, she told her teammates that she really should work on that 600 series now. She'd NEVER had one. Shot something around 550 with the 300.
Had somewhere around a 120-130 average.

kid around here (153 average) shot 300 his first game. He does throw a hook, but throws the ball so slow that he hardly ever carries. I believe he had 5 brooklyns that game.

Needless to say, his next two games were 134-129. 563.

My lowest with 300 was 707 in practice.

When I bowled my first 300. I went 300-162-149=611. Great Series!

I've got a story about a lady similar to what Mumzie had to say. This lady with a 149 average shot 149, 150, 300 > 599. She admitted that she didn't hit the pocket on ANY of the shots in the 300 game....in fact, her last shot went dead through the nose and carried. When asked what her next goal was in bowling, she said "to throw my first 600 series".

The lowest I've ever seen was 151-300-161=611, shot by a guy who could out-turn most everyone around, but couldn't make a spare to save his life. The lowest I've shot with a 300 was 709(300-224-185), IIRC.

you guys dont even come close - my old teammate shot 140 300 140 for a 580!
