Magic Carpet and Hada Tape
« on: August 19, 2008, 05:25:09 AM »
Just wondering if anyone is using both for their equipment.

I'm starting to get some dry skin on my thumb and was planning on trying the tape to help alleviate this (I suppose putting on lotion on non-bowling days would do help)

Just wondering if this disrupts the effectiveness of the carpet.

I remember seeing a post from a long while back but can't remember what the consensus was on using both thumb tape and carpet or which Hada tape number to use in conjunction with the carpet.

thanks!

something with Aloe and/or Vitamin E would defintiely help.

I tried it a while back. The Magic Carpet is too rough for most of the tapes that fit ont he back of the thumb. I use the Red and the Blue Hada thumb tape. The velcro on the MC tore up the thumb tape, like abrasives/sandpaper and made it rougher. It's better directly against your thumb's skin, I found.

I don't know about Hada tape, but I use Black "thumb" tape (I think it's Vise, but it might be Turbo) because the MC irritates my thumb.  Like anything else, your mileage may vary.  I've bowled tons of games per day and never had to change thumb tape for any reason.

Im so glad people are brainwashed to think that TRACK sucks. And its even funnier when im carrying with my TRACK ball and they're going flat ten with their BRUNSWICK ball.
