Doc's Elixir
« on: September 14, 2004, 05:33:37 PM »
I'm considering getting Doc's Elixir for my Ultimate Inferno.  I was wondering if anyone else has applied it to a heavy oil ball and if you have, what kind of results you have gotten?  I'm worried it may give the ball length I do not want. Any help out there?

I use the elixir on every one of my bowling balls. I have both a Fear Factor and an Animal that I've applied 2 coats of elixir to since they have very porous coverstocks.

Perhaps the biggest thing I notice, is that the ball becomes much more angular. You get a couple more feet of push, but when the ball flips, it tends to have more energy and continuation through the deck.

If anything, try it. If you don't like it, just lightly scuff the ball back to its original finish.
