Magic Carpet Gathering Update
« on: June 06, 2005, 05:01:42 AM »
Here's the latest.  Thought I would try and consolidate everything down and find it in one place.

Ball Reviews / Bowl 4 Fun.com gathering July 22-24

Here is a Yahoo map of where Creekside Lanes is located.
http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?addr=1450+trademart+blvd&csz=winston+salem%2Cnc&country=us&new=1&name=&qty=

Creekside Lanes
1450 Trademart Blvd.
Winston Salem, NC 27127

My email address if you need more info:
rclifton@triad.rr.com

The hotel I suggest is Extended Stay America. It is clean and cheap!
Use the Winston Salem / Hanes Mall location.
You can find it on www.extendedstayamerica.com for a map. It just one exit from the bowling center.

Added Linda MT, looks like 24 so far, probably closer to 40 by the time we add in wives/girl friends.

Still trying to think of a unique bowling theme to give away the Lane 1 Ball.  Throw out some more suggestions.

Gotta move this up -- it's getting close to my page 3!!  How many are interested in trying to get a round in??  I was thinking of setting up a tee time somewhere....

I haven't played golf in ages.  I'd probably add an hour to anyone's round.  .  I'd play if someone had to have a 4th, but it wouldn't be pretty.  I'll stick with bowling, beer, and billiards.  If Ron rents out the storage area, I won't have to leave.    I think we still have Harley's number.  Maybe we can talk her into coming again.

SrKegler here is my response to your post in the tournament section...yes my scores are in the toilet for the most part right now.  They may be also in NC, and yes I will publicly take up your challenge.

It may mean I buy you dinner, but come this time next year, you will see the results of some fantastic coaching and my finally getting it through my thick skull that I AM A LEFTY and bowling shouldn't be this difficult  The lanes will be mine to rule, a playground for the complete annihilation of the pins

Ah that felt good.  My coach has been working with me on building a positive attitude

LL, thanks for the e-mail.  I know you're going to be real busy during that time frame but I sure hope you can fit it into the schedule.

Just imagine, Luckylefty giving us the perfect fit, KOTM giving us the perfect drilling, MagicCarpet giving us the perfect delivery.  Going to be a great gathering.

One last bump for a while.  Moving company is here to pack up the house.  That means no stereo or computer until I drive back up to NC on Monday or Tuesday.    Should have brought the laptop home.

One last post before taking my computers down for packing...

Going to be a big gathering this time.  25+ people plus spouses and kids.  Should be a lot of fun.  If you're still undecided, try to make it.  You won't regret it.

Gathering keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Just added Stormtrack.

If we get to 30, Thongprincess will donate an autographed thong.
