NEED SOME MAJOR HELP!!!
« on: March 14, 2006, 12:08:59 PM »
I have been bowling seriously for about 2 1/2 years. I am about 6-3 270lbs and I started with a Scout and moved on as I got into it. When I started I bowled on my high school team for 2 years and I averaged 140 the first year and 170 the second year. Now I am a freshman in college trying to make the college team (RMU). I just purchased all new 16 lb equipment (Action,Action Packed, Mess Ti Pearl, and Absolute Inferno) and now I am so determined to be a good bowler that I am actually starting to regress. I have trouble trying to have the same release all the time. Sometimes I throw off my body sometimes I dont. I have been told that I try to crank the ball too much  (im a tweener) and force it too hook, instead of letting the ball do the work. My release just is not smooth and I hate it.

Does anyone think that the 16 lb is too heavy for me?

Any other advice,tips,ideas, etc.

PLEASE HELP

BIll

Were you using 16# equipment before you bought the new stuff?

Describe to me your arm position upon release.
