Quick Ruling

Last night in League, I left a 10 pin(Righty). There was a deadwood in the right hand gutter and nobody noticed it before I shot the spare. I nicked it on the way by and made the 10 pin. Whats the ruling? Dead Ball? No spare? Re-spot with the deadwood removed? I was just curious. It didnt cost the team the game or anything but its for my own satisfaction to know the rule. Thanks

The minute it hits the dead wood, it's dead.  It's a miss of the spare. You are responsible to clear dead wood BEFORE you shoot the spare.
