Tonight was the last night in a summer scratch singles league I bowl in. Normally we bowl 4 games, but last week and last night we bowled 6 to make up for not bowling next week.
Aaron Buss is a bowler from Freeport, IL. He came into tonight averaging a crazy 246.17, and that's after dropping it from 251 last week.
His first 3 games were 300, 289 (spare, next 10, 9 count), and 279 for a new Rockford city record of 868. That's a career night for almost anyone, but it actually got better.
Aaron then went 258-279-300 for his final 3 for an 837. 1705 for 6 games!! Me and a lot of the guys were just in awe when thinking about this accomplishment. 66 strikes out of a possible 72. And it couldn't have happened to a nicer, more down-to-earth guy.
In my eyes, the most impressive thing is that we move pairs after every game.
He used an Ultra Zone for all 6 games I believe. Congratulations to you Aaron.
