I miss the ABC Masters tournament being a part of the ABC national tournament.
It used to be a treat to the hosting city. They knew the first week of May all the best bowlers in the country, amateur and pro, would be coming in to bowl.
Now it is held a separate site and it will often be in just another bowling center.
The convention centers generally had more and better seating than bowling centers for qualifying and match play rounds.
The PBA has taken away some of the flavor of the tournament that made it special.

I agree.
For USBC and PBA it's all about making $. That's the deciding factor in the majority of all their decisions.
The last event on the brief PBA schedule is April 10th.

Talking to some of the pro’s they feel that they have lost some of their edge at the masters.
Before the convention center (arena) environment was foreign to most of the amateurs. Having it held in a regular bowling center gives the amateurs a familiar environment keeping them in their comfort zone.

i talked to a buddy of mine that bowled the masters, and he said the host house was a hole. Broken pins in every lane. dirty restrooms and snack bar. Surprises me that they held a tournament with such poor conditions.

Funny you said that about the bathrooms.
A friend of mine went to watch the masters. He was telling me the men’s room smelled horrible and that the smell was so strong that you couldn’t sit in the bleachers outside the door.

Bowlero is an AMF center in Wauwatosa/Milwaukee. Need I say more? AMF=poor centers & poor center management.
This is also where WIBC bowled Natl's a couple of years ago.
