I've been told before, but I am stupid
« on: March 19, 2005, 04:28:14 PM »
Hello all,

What equation do you use to figure handicap?  I know it is obvious but I can't remember how to figure handicap.  What would my h/c be if my average was 183 and h/c was 90% of 235, and how do you get it?

Thanks, Slipknot

You find the difference between the Handicap cap, and your average. In your case... 235 - 183 = 52. Then find 90% of that number. In your case 52 * .9 = 46.8 . So your handicap will probly be 47, if not, 46.

good luck and high scoring

Hey Matt,

Thanks for the reply.  I knew it was something easy but I just flat drew a blank.  Thanks again

You always round down when figuring averages and handicaps.  --  JohnP
