I had it and had to wear arch supports in my shoes. Was so bad that I had to either hop or crawl to the bathroom at night. The supports did wonders and I was mostly healed in about 2-3 ,months and I am 100% healed today.

I know it sounds like I'm in denial, but I'm not.

You need to take some time off and let it heal.

I've had it a few times and it's not fun. Most doctors will prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs and rest until it calms down.
P.M. sent.

I am currently bowling with achilles tendonitis, and I am also a doctor.  The problem with the achilles tendon is that it has a relatively poor blood supply and therefore healing takes a long time.  Rest, ice, stretching, and anti-inflammatory drugs will obviously help (I only bowl about 6 games per week).  My secret weapon is to use a night splint to gently stretch the calf muscles while sleeping (but not irritate the tendon).  Check out the Pro-Tec Night Splint.  I bought mine from Ithacasports.com because they are local.  I'm sure you can find one close to where you live, and it should help substantially.  Just remember it takes a long time to heal.  Go slowly and don't push it.

This is a good web site, to help you with your condition.

You can find a good doctor, that is Board Certified on here.
Plus, get an idea which condition, you actually have.
My wife is a surgical skills course director for foot & ankle...

Her comment, when I asked her: "RESPECT PAIN" .

It's your body sending you signals.
Rest & Exercise is good for achilles tendonitis.

foot tendon problems are very complex...can be diabetes-related, etc.
