Storm Gizmo..Please help need a new brace pretty quick!
« on: March 22, 2010, 04:27:41 AM »
My old brace broke on me over the weekend and i need a new one before i go to the ozarks in a couple weeks. I had the storm gadget and for the most part liked it, The only thing i didn't like was the free moving wrist. I want to try a brace next that locks and doesn't allow wrist movement. I can't tell by the pictures or description on the new Storm Gizmo if it locks or not. Can anyone help me!

Vise makes a pretty nice brace. It locks in place and is durable.

The Moro Pro Release has an adjustable wrist that allows you to change the amount of cup in your wrist, but will lock in place. I've never had the need for one myself, so I can't speak from experience but I do know several people who use/have used it and all are/were happy.

I've tried the Pro Release, and it does allow you to lock your cup in. I didn't care for the wrist cock adjustment though. The Storm and Vise designs seem to work better for that.

I have recently purchased the Brunswick Power Koil brace and that locks your wrist in very security and offers adjustment to a cupped release if you need to, and is very adjustable.  I am still getting used to it, but you definitely can't move your wrist at all with this brace.  Made of metal and padded nicely.

another one to consider is a Robby's either Rev 1 or Rev 11.  Like the Brunswick Power Koil, there are several wrist cup positions, as well as axis positions, but locks your wrist in place securely.
