Bowling App for Droid
« on: July 06, 2011, 04:00:35 PM »
Hello everyone.  My name is Donny Wright and I am new to the forum so I tried to not be a newbie and I searched for this answer before posting but I was unsuccessful.  I am looking for a good bowling score tracker for my phone so I can upload all my games.  I would like to be able to score frame by frame, upload the different balls I have, be able to load / change bowling balls per frame, review the game, and save the games on a SD card.  Sometimes, as I am sure a lot of you know, different balls are used on each lane.  I have looked at a few but it seems the only good ones I have to pay for so I want to check before buying.  Thanks everyone!

Strike Out Stats is the best one by far. I got it back when it was only $1.99. It's improved a lot and has great features. It has everything you're looking for, try out the free demo and see how you like it.

I found one call My Lane Play.  There is a free version that will let you store I think 4 balls and the full version is like $5.00 maybe.  Its really deep, lets you score frame by frame, change balls at will during the games, get really detailed.  Try it out.

crap, I didn't realize that strike out stats jumped up to $4.99!  I was going to wait until fall season to purchase it.  I loved the demo, but now for $5 I don't like it. lol.

I went ahead and bought the My Lane Play.  I had downloaded the demo and liked it.  Thanks a lot for the info and like my user name says, ONLY COLUMBIA 300!!  Well I actually do have a track because I haven't had any luck with a COLUMBIA 300 ball good for carry down.  I will check some forums and see if anyone has any suggestions because I would buy it!

I actually purchased both of these apps after reading your guys, posts.... I think I live the Strike Out Stats a little better overall. I guess the layout looks a little better, etc. Both are great apps though, so if you want to keep record of your bowling, Id definitly give it a shot! John
