Micro Fiber Towels-%
« on: August 11, 2004, 06:01:25 PM »
Hi all,

Sorry about this, but you can't search more than 30 days anymore so I'll have to ask again........

What is the proper % of material/fiber for a good microfiber towel to wipe your ball off with ??

Thanks..........

Same here 70/30. The main thing is when you wash and dry do not use softner on these towels.

You shouldn't use softener on bath towels either.. after a while they lose absorbency from the softener and it takes longer to dry the childrens off when they get out of the bath.

/Martha Stewart mode off

No softner in the bath towels.....a good thing!

Jeff, the ones I use came from Walmart and are great. 70% polyester and 30% polyamide. Came is a bundle of 5 and cost about 5 bucks.

As is always the case, Bones is right again. These towels also work better than anything I've seen, for cleaning your eye glasses and they don't scratch the lens either.

I have to agree with the agreement on the Walmat towels -- they work great for the price; however, I don't like them very much because they're too small.  As a golfer, I've come to like the BIG towels.  I bought a Storm towel (16x24) and it seems to clean better than the Walmart's -- even smaller nap than the Walmart version.....

Nollster, this is a bowling site, not a golf site and what do bowlers care what a golfer uses to wipe whatever or the size of a towel that must cost much much more than the Walmart ones which are the proper size for bowling.

Cant believe anyone would even mention golf on a bowling site.

If I can't play, I gotta be able to talk about it a little!!  Bowling takes out some of the sting, but now that my man Duval is playing again, I'm itchin' real bad to whack the hell outta the little white ball!!  As for the size of my towel, well, when you're bowling like I've been bowling lately , the towel is the only thing people are talking about!!

Nollster, while people may comment on your towel at the bowling center, if it will make you feel better, I sometimes wear my Lane 1 shirt while golfing and other golfers will ask me if I bowl as badly as I play golf.

Bigger towels are better for snapping your partner with!!
