« on: January 14, 2013, 06:09:47 PM »
Good evening everyone,

Midwestern Junior Tournaments are making their return March 24th at Plaza lanes in St. Charles, MO. So far, Roto Grip, Storm, InsideBowling.com, EFX Performance, and McDonald's have all signed on as sponsors for the 2013 year.  We will be offering $5 brackets this time around. This event will be live streamed and available to watch on YouTube after the tournament is completed.

Entry fee is only $40. Payout will be $400 for first with 48 entries.

All the tournament information can be found on our website and the flyers below.

If you have any questions, you can reply here, or you can e-mail me directly at MJTBowling@gmail.com.

We are still looking for sponsors, so if you would like more information, you can contact me personally for more information.

We are also attempting to put together a bowler database, which can be completed on our website, located at https://sites.google.com/site/mjtbowling

Am I that far behind the time? I was under the impression that JUNIORS could not have brackets or money payoffs? Did all of this change???
RIP Thongprincess/Sawbones!

Hey Joe,

It's a fairly new concept. Juniors can get in brackets as long as it is all paid out by scholarship through smart. There are no physical money payouts.

Thanks,
Ricky

A lot of things have changed since my first post about this tournament.

Our tournament will be live streamed in HD through our site at http://sites.google.com/site/mjtbowling/

We are taking on a unique dual status format.  All entrants in the tournament can be ages 21 and under, regardless whether they are USBC adult or youth (youth bowlers will have to sign a prize waiver before competition starts).  I have contacted USBC, and they have assured me that this is the correct way to run a tournament like this.

This event will be a Junior Gold qualifier. The entry for this side event will be $20, and a Junior Gold spot will be awarded in a 1:10 ratio.  The spot goes to the highest scratch bowler that has entered the qualifier after six games of competition.

Brackets: In addition to the $5 brackets, there will also be $2 brackets available.  Bowlers may enter 10 brackets in each area ($5 brackets starting in game 1; $5 brackets starting in game 4; $2 brackets starting in game 1; $2 brackets starting in game 4), maxing out at $140 in brackets.

Our public facebook event can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/262814793844827/?ref=ts&fref=ts

Any updates to the tournament will be posted there.

Once again, any questions can be addressed here or by sending me an e-mail direct at MJTBowling@gmail.com
