Title: Might be buying my first urethane tomorrow!
Post by: lilpossum1 on February 27, 2015, 08:07:48 PM
Well my dad is going to the pro shop tomorrow to get his urethane ball reworked on the thumb, and I'm gonna tag along. I'm thinking about picking up a urethane ball for myself if he has any in stock. How well should urethane fit under a misfit pearl? And are there some urethane balls that are preferred over others? I don't even know what he has in stock, if anything.

Search the site for topics on urethane balls.  Not all are pure urethane or have the pure urethane reaction, as some are like mild reactives.

It may be helpful to scour ebay and find used urethane from the 80's or 90's. For the most part, the newer stuff hooks more and isn't as smooth as the old stuff.

Well he only had two urethane balls in stock, the pitch black and a few mixes. Meh thought the pitch black was a better fit, and I love the reaction. I didn't throw it alongside my misfit yet, but it was pretty mellow. I wanted to get a few games on it before league since the new urethanes are insta-hook for a little bit until they soak up some oil

Ha! I don't think I broke it now. Just very severely bruised it. It still hurts of I touch it just right, but I can at least bowl now. I will say that Friday before last, I couldn't hold a fork in it. It still has a small knot in the bone like it calcified, so I don't know...
