Miracle Balls
« on: July 30, 2011, 02:21:05 PM »
Must be getting close to League Season.  Everybody trying to sell last years "Miracle Balls".   If they were that good last season, why not keep 'em.   Lane conditions are the same, stand left, throw right.   Must be a macho thing.  My ball is "prettier" than yours.

If you keep up with bowling on here you already know it isn't about what works, but whats new.

BUT BUT BUT...The Taboo was NEW technology????!!!!???

I mean it was an amazing ball for 65 games when the cover completely died....I mean at least the Black Widow lasted 100 games before puking.  Maybe that's ball companies' plan now.  We'll just release the same crap with new names, but people won't notice because the same ball 4 years earlier doesn't hook now.  It will just appear to hook 12 boards more because the old one is pretty much urethane.

Little off topic rant...but I completely agree with the OP.  As the owner of a pro shop I'm jaded by the flood of "new" technology and "gotta have" balls that come out by the dozen every 3 months.

That is exactly why I roll Brunswick.  The covers refuse to die.  I like that.

I throw Seismic stuff and have no issues with ball death everything is just as good now and the day I bought it. Stay away from the Ebonite garbage and you will have a little ball death and a fewer bowling balls to deal with

There are some of us who still bowl on wood lanes( some as old as 40-50 years ). Modern bowling balls take a terrific pounding on these types of surfaces.

I am still using older equipment. Raw Hammer burn, C300 Bedlam.........have had the burn for 4 years now and still get great performance from it. Bedlam I have had since it was released, still rolling well. I do however have a Storm Victory Road that I got when it was released only because I won it in a raffle. I dont know how some people can say a ball has died after 60 games.....come on fellas, really? 60 games? That sounds at bit far fecthed. I have over 350 games on each, the bedlam and the burn. Both appear to still hook and perform great.

Ya'll do know there is a way to totally eliminate "ball death", right?
