Yeah I am going to clown someone...I can accept that typos are going to occur from time to time, but it would seem that someone would want to proofread their auction before posting it on ebay.
I mean, c'mon people...I know we have all talked about salvaging a series, but I guess I never had the right ball for it in the bag. Maybe this one is going to do the trick

I went to the referenced link, and the first thing that catches your eye are the two pictures of the Savage bowling ball, so there should really not be any confusion.
In total, what I saw was a seller offering an exceptional ball for an exceptional price. Many bowlers have been 'salvaged' by using a Savage Pearl, so maybe the spelling is appropriate. If it was 15#, I'd be tempted to bid on the ball myself.
It serves no purpose 'to clown' a seller providing good value to the bowling public. Posts like this make little sense.

Sawbones: I'm surprised at your post. On more than one occasion in the past, you've scolded posters who put non-bowling related content in the miscellaneous bowling forum. Michelle's post is in a grey area, but what I read was a post slamming bad spelling on a general auction site -- this is hardly a real bowling subject. Given that the seller was offering something of value, I didn't feel the slam was warranted and stated my opinion. You're free to keep your own thoughts on the subject.

In today's day and age, we have many rights still available to us. One of which is if you don't like someone you don't have to have anything to do with them. If you do not the posts that Michelle puts on the board, then just don't read them. She never actually slammed anyone, she just stated the fact that the seller should have proofread his listing, which is simply the truth. If the seller did proofread the listing, then maybe he actually thinks the ball is called a "SALVAGE". In which case people should actually think twice from buying from him.

Yeah... notice it's called a "Salvage" in both the headline AND the item info. Gives you some idea how knowledgeable the person selling the ball is. Someone should ask pin location and see if they say "at the end of the lane".

Undoubtedly the best bowler to ever come out of Sequoia Lanes. Maybe that's why they tore it down.

it's pretty obvious he does think it's "salvage" there's no way you could accidentally misspell that, and certainly not twice. Of course you guys know how important spelling and grammar is in bowling! I bowled with a guy last year who threw a Rock Pearl and swore it was a Rock Star. He was so insistent I never had the heart to show him the GIANT STAR on the ball on the next pair.LOL

I must be the only ther person to have misspelled a word and run it through a spell checker and hit "change all" without actually checking it real carefully.
Come on!
